- An luath-thumoideachas sa sruth lán-Ghaeilge
Each year we have a special event in our School Garden. Each boy plants a flower bulb along with his parent(s). The event is a symbol of the support and guidance of our parents in helping their children grow in knowledge, faith and awareness of their goodness. The next planting will take place on Tuesday February 4th at 2p.m. All are welcome for a cup of tea beforehand in the Parents’ Room.
The Board of Management of Scoil Sancta Maria Primary school has posted the updated Child Protection Policy and Notification document on the School Policies page for the school year 2016/17. Please click on the Policies Tab above.
The Board of Management wish to confirm that as and from September 2017 a new Junior Infant class (Tumoideachas trí mhéan na Gaeilge) will begin.
A new Junior Infant class will enroll each year until there is a full compliment of classes from Junior Infant to Sixth class.
There will be two streams of classes in the school, as time elapses, one for the Immersion model of Irish class, as outlined above, and one for the English medium of education for boys in 2nd to 6th classes.
This is a unique development in the provision of education here in Ireland. In so doing, the Edmund Rice Schools Trust are responding to the needs of the community and the Board of Management of Bunscoil Sancta Maria welcomes the inclusive and foreseeing involvement of the whole school community within the tradition and ethos of Edmund Rice.
